We’re about three weeks into this brand-new newsletter, and I’m already rearranging the furniture around here.
During seminary, I had to answer something called a Central Integration Question (CIQ). Every seminary student keeps a working CIQ throughout the seminary journey with the hopes that by the end you will have a final draft summarizing what God has called you to be in the mission of the church.
The kicker, as with anything seminary-related assignment, is that you have to use 100 words exactly for your CIQ. No more, no less. It was actually a really good exercise, and my favorite part of the assignment was the picture metaphor we had to come up with to describe ourselves, which is where Deep Well came from and what I originally decided to name this newsletter.1
