For those who thought they were “past it already.”
We’ve trained our kids since they were toddlers to work hard and cheerfully, but in the last few weeks, they just haven’t been doing either. I have been so very frustrated. Last night, I fed them cereal and put them to bed early. I needed space to think, pray, and be still with the Lord.
This morning I was talking it out with the Lord again, and I was reminded of something a friend said to me about a battle he’s fighting, “I just thought I was past that already.”
It’s interesting, isn’t it, how sometimes things pop up and you think, “I thought I was past this.” But there it is rearing its ugly head, forcing things to the surface that you didn’t know were still there, causing you to feel unbalanced and maybe even a little fearful.
