Why Intentionally Formed?

Jesus is the source of living water, and He invites us to drink deep this water, worshipping Him in spirit and truth (John 4:24). Here in this space, we will gaze deeply at theology and life and consider what it means to be intentionally formed by God so we may worship in spirit and truth.

Many of us (myself included) are parched from decades of watered-down Christianity that doesn’t, and cannot, satisfy. Intentionally Formed is for people who are ready to go past the surface and draw up the true Source of Living Water in order to allow the Holy Spirit to form us into the likeness of Jesus Christ.

Intentionally Formed will show up in your inbox weekly, and each time you will be encouraged to think deeply and more intentionally about your faith. We’ll explore theology, books, and spiritual practices. We’ll discuss family and culture and the work of everyday living. You’ll be invited to comment and share your experience and perspective while being encouraged to grow and deepen your convictions. So bring your water jar and join me at the well.

Because this is a space where I will tackle deeper topics, provide more long-form writing, and talk about potentially controversial and vulnerable topics, I want you to be somewhat invested (and I don’t want casual bystanders trolling the comments). By paying for a subscription you are supporting the work I’m doing here and helping me create a space for people who are intentionally coming to the well to drink and grow together.

If you’re just looking for help to be intentional and find practical resources for your faith, then you can find me at IntentionalByGrace.com. I don’t go as deep, but you’ll still find encouragement for becoming who God has created you to be.

Who’s Writing?

Hi, I’m Leigh Ann! I’m an Mdiv student, a mom, a writer, and a thinker. I care deeply about making the gospel attractive and helping people love one another well. I’m deeply concerned for the American church and my heart aches for those who feel like they’ve lost their way.

I’ve blogged for over a decade, and I still write and publish articles at IntentionalByGrace.com where I help women manage their time and live life on purpose.
